Part 7: Davisville Village, because it’s the last place under $1 million off Yonge
Toronto Life has a great series focusing on 10 up and coming Toronto neighbourhoods. Each entry is written by Monica Warzecha with photography by Emma McIntyre. I’ll be posting one daily for the next ten days, but you can always read them all at once at torontolife.com.
Families eager for a midtown address without the Summerhill prices have one last hope. “Davisville’s probably the only off-Yonge pocket left for a house between $600,000 and $800,000,” says John Pasalis of the brokerage Realosophy Realty. “Anywhere else, its unheard of for that price range.”

June Rowlands Park is equipped with a splash pad, a playground and plenty of lush trees. Maurice Cody Junior Public School has an environmental focus, with a grassy schoolyard and a woodland garden. And to further satisfy the adults, Mount Pleasant is lined with bistros, bars and pâtisseries.
