We are currently at Avenue Road and St. Clair, and we wanted to find a greater sense of neighbourhood and something closer to downtown. We were also looking for a home with green space, a balcony and a good sized interior. It was important that the condo have separate space for each of us.
Our wish list: downtown walkability, two or more bedrooms and lots of light, close to the buzz of the city while being on a park setting – – I know – a lot. Amenities were not necessary, but a gym was appreciated.
I’ve always like the Arbour Glen Building – its location is on the park and proximity to Bloor and Yonge is attractive and convenient. The building features an outdoor pool and patio, gym, a concierge and a pleasingly designed lobby. We bought a corner unit with two balconies.
The fact that it’s an equity co-op is an added financial bonus. We’d anticipated we’d have to spend more to move into a condo further downtown, but we were pleasantly surprised to see that the price was significantly less than a traditional condo of the same size (1650 sq.ft.). Our new place has more than we were looking for and cost much less than we were prepared to spend.
We worked with Shawn for over 18 months keeping our eyes open for the proper fit. He was sensitive to what we wanted, patient and helpful. We’re looking forward to the move.
